A Very Happy Meal

I know what you’re going to say, corporate sellout/amreeka is the enemy/multinationals are eeevil and so on, but hear me out. Although I would agree with the facts that they overstuff their burgers with various crunchy veggies instead of meat and the place is flooded with children on most days, McDonalds is actually one of my regular haunts for a couple of weeks now for two reasons:

Number One: The excellent sundaes. Picture this: luscious vanilla ice cream, topped off with hot strawberry/chocolate/caramel syrup. I will never despair of recommending the caramel sundaes to others.

Number Two: Happy Meal Toys. Fine, call me childish, but the fact remains that contrary to expectations, the toys included in the kiddie pack known as the Happy Meal are actually pretty cute. Case in question, the series of four care bear toys [see photo above] being dealt out currently. Admittedly the food in the Happy Meal is most certainly fit for a child’s stomache, but the toys make up for the grumbling tummies.

speaking of food in karachi, how can anyne forget waheed kabab and pakistan food centre at burnes road and divine nihari inn at boat basin and most of all: how karachi is the only city to be blessed with Pick-Pack party Slims aka chilly chips?

As far as milkshakes are concerned – no one can mix Mangoshake the way Agha Juice does. The thick mango shake has a true slurp sound if you minus the straw from the glass. yummy.
