Mobiles, mobiles, mobiles
Mobilink seems to have crashed lately. I read an item in the newspaper about the network going down from Thursday night, and it seemed that nobody was able to make phone calls or send messages for much of Friday. I had already planned to go get a Telenor account, and I did, so I’ll have to test it for the next month and see if I prefer it. I hear Warid Telecom is coming soon to Karachi, but it will be interesting to see how the prices drop once the big foreign guns come in. Mobilink already dropped their prices in response to the Telenor offerings! But over the next three weeks you’ll probably see all sorts of telecommunications errors and messups; blame it on the planets.
true that… but i really wanted to see telenor review
I feel competetion would ONLY get cut-throat if Mobile Number Portability comes into effect, that way your number remains the same regardless of whose service you choose then only will the better man stand out. Until then its all hogwash. Mobilink reduced AIRTIME tariff Rs 3.50* — *=Interconnect charges apply. Paktel also played the same game Astereix game and fooled many into the PaktelGSM boat only to realize the next month of the hoodwink game. World over these games have been played so we in Pakistan arent unique.
Telenor came with a bang and should now expose these giants at their own game, Warid in my opinion will come with a bang, how long will it last is doubtful as it is more popular for being a ‘sait’ company, they might ruffle a few feathers here and there but in the long run they need a better hard working team, source tell me that if the 1-year time frame to launch was not in effect they team would have been happily enjoying their over-infalted contracts and would probably never have been ready to launch.
Check out a Telenor review written by Yasir Suleman Memon on his blog at http://blog.yasirmemon.com/
from what ive heard, number portability is due to be launched in june. not sure if its confirmed though.
Has anyone noticed anything wrong with WorldCall? It seems to have quietly crashed since last week too.
