I have seen Ferrari, Jaguar, Audi, all kinds of cars in Karachi, but I had never seen a convertible until now.

you’re not serious are you? no convertibles in karachi? That’s a funky looking car!

You must be kidding, Umar. I’ve seen convertibles pretty regularly, especially on saturdays and sundays. If you want to see some fine cars, you should check out the weekend races in Phase 8 on saturday nights.

I would have to agree Karachi does indeed have a few hot convertibles running around. But driving such a car in the city is not without problems

I too am a big fan of cars and convertibles surely rank highly amongst them but in Karachi it would be at the bottom of my list.

Lets picturise yourself in the driving seat of an silver Audi TT Roadster (you sure look stunning in fact you are BLING BLING on Karachi streets) WOW leather seats, good dash and to top it off a hot chic on the side. But the downside you get shovel loads of dust on every turn, you sadly have no smooth road to drive on except our underpass infested streets of defence and Clifton but dont forget the even with the AC blowing your wig off you are sweating like a pig courtesy our hot climate. You no doubt immediately qualify as the most eligible bachelor in khi but hmmm without AC and a forever tanned complexions.

Never knew rich kids knew how to live without Air Conditioning.

Not to mention you’ll be the easiest target for those cell phone snatchers :)

I am a not such a great fan of cars, but I have also seen quite a few convertibles. Actually I have seen both new and old convertibles – by old I meant cars that are not available here anymore.

ok… maybe I haven’t seen enough cars in Karachi yet if everyone else seems to have seen convertibles. whatever.

Zag, I am careful when using my cell phone cam. But I won’t be able to do much if a gun is pointed at me.

Arsalaan – cell phone snatchers can really have a ball game but thats peanuts as compared to the prestige one gets driving in such a car 20,000 heck thats spare change to him ;)

The million dollar prank would be an accidental/intentional pan-spitting incident from one of the passengers traveling on our minibuses. Can you imagine a cool rich kid surfing the streets of karachi all of a sudden comes next to a minibus and man without looking peaks through one of the plastic windows and splatters him with a mother load of ‘peep’. Whoa that in my books would be an instant Hall of Famer.

Seems like I’m having a good time going after these rich kid convertibles.

Forget about the Paan. What about the constant blast of Carbon Monoxide from buses, rickshaws, cars and everyother vehicle that omits this poisonous gas.

Happened to me once. Not in a convertible. Had my elbow on the window, went passed a double parked bus, and out came a dollap of peet from one of the windows. Looked back and saw a million monkey faces looking out of the bus.
