Thank God the city’s finally woken up. The theatres are alive again, the cinemas finally have watch-able movies [has anyone seen Reema’s directorial debut yet?] and carnivals are a regular feature. The (now annual) Wall’s Fun Carnival is also taking place at the Expo Centre on the 20th and 21st of August 2005. Should be a fun event for entertainment-starved citizens of Karachi, since Strings and Josh will be performing as well. Tickets are usually priced at a nominal rate [Rs. 20 or so], and are available from the gate. So beat the heat with some ice cream!
