GeoTV Podcasts

Podcasting is a method of publishing audio broadcasts via the Internet, allowing users to subscribe to a feed of new files (usually MP3s). It became popular in late 2004, largely due to automatic downloading of audio onto portable players or personal computers.

As far as I know, Geo’s the first channel to launch a podcasting facility in Pakistan, and hopefully not the last. Has anyone tried it out yet?

I have tried (and still using) their RSS feeds. Not just audio feeds, but also news ticker feeds (text). I was using CNN and BBC RSS feeds before, GEO is an nice addition for people who have interest in local Pakistan news.

They dont updated news on hourly basis, but still its a good step. I hope other news channels will starts their RSS feeds soon.

    Regards,

In fact, the Earth quake has wiped out hundreds of our villages and left the clamity of grief & mourning for whole pakistani nation ,but i am still thinking and quite astonished that the Govt has taken no steps to established the earth quake area?
1)As far i know that the Aid for Earth quake mission is too imense that now every person can have its own palace by replacing it with simple mud home.
    2) I have heared from my close relative living in fronteir that some Foreign People( Afghani who were living there as migrants) have cut /stolen the human body parts(espacially breast of women)for selling to some other countries. Is it true or just a propoganda)?

    Regards.

    Tahir,
