Dump your cars now

Ok, now that petrol is approaching Rs. 60 per litre, who is planning to dump their cars and start walking to work, because public transport is just not worth it? Seriously, what is this world coming to? We were supposed to have alternate energy sources by now. Why don’t we have solar powered cars cruising on the roads? What will you do when the fuel will hit Rs. 100? It will happen and you know that! So sell your cars and buy a horse. Soon you will have new breeds of horses by Honda and Toyota, horses that will give you more milage with less food, horses intelligent enough to come back to you if they are stolen or lost. Welcome to the future.

How about converting to CNG? oh, and most of the automobile companies are switching to hybrid technology now….. with Toyota in the lead, they have announced that they will cut the price of Hybrid cars in order to make em more accessible to masses. Maybe one of these days we will see an Altis Hybrid :)

I don’t mind dumping the cars, as I haven’t got one :) Jokes apart, I believe that petrol prices will even go higher. So better buy a bicycle now.

Converting to CNG is not a bad idea, but when people will start to converted there vehicles on to CNG the goverment will increase the prices of CNG also. I only use the public transport in the morning on my way to office, but I walk back home from my office (from baloch colony to McDonald’s Nazimabad). It is quiet a long way, it takes around 2hrs to get back home, but it keeps my body in shape and I also save 15 bucks everyday.
I am looking forward to purchase a bicycle as my means of transportation.
