so proud of you, karachi (paf museum campaign -part 2)

last night fakhr-e-alam announced on tv that he, with help from the pakistan airforce and tv 1, would be setting up a relief fund at the paf museum. in a telephonic interview today at 1.30 pm he said “i had expected we’d get enough funds for one c-130 plane by this time but we have collected stuff for more than 4 planes. karachi is an amazing city”. when i first went to the museum at 1.45 pm i saw quite a lot of people and a huge pile of clothes and food stuff. when i went back at around 3.00 pm it was a mad house! people from all walks of life had gathered. i’ve never been so happy to see a traffic jam than i was today at the parking lot of paf museum. people had literally STUFFED their cars and had even brought extra pick ups to bring the stuff. there was good number of volunteers helping around.
like i said before, i know we can’t feel and understand the exact targedy and pain people are suffering but it doesn’t mean we’re not concerned and that we’re not hurt.
so, so, proud of all the karachiites and i hope we continue to help for as long as we can!
