appeal: help needed in transportation of relief goods

as huma mentioned in her post, we have collected a lot of goods mashaAllah. so much so that we’re having trouble sending those goods. until yesterday afternoon the goods collected were worth 40+ C-130 planes. but the airforce can’t provide 40 planes and one or two planes can’t come and go 40 times to transport the goods. therefore, we appeal to the truck owners association to please contact mr. fakhr-e-alam or any organizers at paf museum and send the goods at discounted rates. they can setup a stall and people who are bringing money to spend, can give their money there and then, for the transportation of goods. this is also a way of contributing to a good cause specially for those of us who can spare rs. 30, 000+
so please come forward and help us in sending the relief goods to the affected areas!

“one or two planes can’t come and go 40 times to transport the goods”

    Why not?

I agree that 40 trips can not be made in a day, but surely it can be done over a period of few days. It would still be faster than taking the goods by road and the stuff still has to go by road once it reaches Islamabad which will further delay it delivery to the effected areas.

It can be done and It should be done and I know that some of you have contacts, please use them.

Pain is felt by everyone in the same way.

    It could have been us.

you could also get the goods dropped off at pia offices, and even at tcs offices – both are delivering relief supplies free of cost to the affected areas.

We have only 8 C-130s in our airforce . In 1960 , we bought 12 c130s but in 40 years they reduced to 8 only . Now PAF has acqyuired 8 CN250s from Indonesia , but as PAF has to perform its transportation also , so they r unable to provide them all.

Still only air transport looks like the most quick and affective option, any idea how PIA and other air liners coping with it?

Can we get to Fakhr-e-Alam somehow or any person organizing the activity? We can make arrangement with Air Blue for transportation of goods.
