Call for International Aid

Many people have requested for help in different ways, many appeals for various items to be generously deposited for the EQ victims. This is a letter for the all the International visitors to this blog. an appeal for tents to be shipped to Pakistan etc. Read on if you can help in anyway possible

Hello everyone,

Following is a list of things we are in short supply of in Pakistan.

We are repeatedly requesting our friends outside Pakistan to please buy the following in stock – co-ordinate within days and send stocks to either karachi or Islamabad airport through whichever flights are coming this way.

People have been very kind and sending cash and cheque donations but at the moment we are out of stock in Pakistan and we need somebody to go through the trouble to arrange these supplies for us – money on its own will not help save the lives at the moment and this is the message being broadcasted on television as well. Many cheques for crores of Rs are being cancelled at the Karachi air force base. Although a reflection of your goodwill, it is the following we need more WITHIN DAYS :

TENTS TENTS TENTS – Pakistani market is out of stock. It will be snowing within 25 days in the earthquake hit zones. We only have that much time to create shelters. This is the best kind of foreign aid that we can get at the moment.

CANNED FOOD – A lot of un-cooked flour and oil etc.. has already been collected in Karachi and Lahore for the North. But we need already cooked items that are again in short supply in Pakistan. Places like Agha’s are not abundant. Send already cooked canned food – biscuits, chocolates, canned food, corn flakes – readily available energy foods etc..

WATER: there is severe shortage of water in Balakot and surrounding areas. We here are buying as much mineral water as possible. Do send us more. There is not enough water.

SURGICAL MASKS: Volunteer doctors are fainting because of the stench – we need surgical gloves and masks – glove size >7 preferably.

Thank you for your efforts – if anyone is able to arrange any of these things or the following by Monday, then please contact: who is head of Falah at AKU and is co-ordinating with the AKU trauma teams up north.

Or reply at

Preferably you may also co-ordinate with any NGO or Relief aid work organisation.
