KIRF – EARTHQUAKE APPEAL UPDATE

KIRF PLANNING FOR PHASE 2 OF RESCUE EFFORT AS WINTER CLOSES IN

Winter has started to descend on the disaster area. It is getting colder, and many areas are still without food, water and shelter. To prevent a bigger loss of life than the earthquake itself, KIRF is starting planning for Phase 2 of the rescue efforts – a massive rebuilding program to protect the survivors from the extreme winter weather. For satellite viewers, please watch our live broadcast this afternoon and this evening on DM Digital on SKY channel 841.

KIRF INVITES PEOPLE TRAVELLING TO DISASTER AREA TO WORK WITHIN ITS RELIEF PROGRAM

Individuals and unattached groups have hampered the official relief and rescue efforts. KIRF is bringing these individuals and groups into its co-ordinated emergency relief program. We advise individuals against travelling to the area, however, if you plan to go out there regardless of our advice, then come work with us. Fly there, meet us, buy the goods with us, keep the receipts, go to the field with us, help with the aid being delivered directly. We can help your aid go much further and prevent you from hampering the official rescue efforts.
