Ramadan pop quiz

I hope all of you are having a great Ramadan. The basic essence of Ramadan is to resist the temptation of eating mouth watering, juicy, delicious burgers during the hours of fasting. The purpose of this post is to check whether or not you have mastered that skill. Look at the picture above for 60 seconds and if nothing happens to you then you have a strong faith. Otherwise shut down your browser immediately and go to sleep until Maghrib. Then go to your nearest burger joint and put off the hunger.

LOL, you sure are testing yourself Umar. Roza lag raha hai, as they say.
Moi? I can stare at this pic for hours on end, while fasting and not sway…but I only wish Eman/Faith and something to do with it. I am an accomplished starver, more likely to drool over French Fries than this heavily doctored picture of a burger of questionable origins.

FOR GOD’S SAKE,RIDA, GET A LIFE. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THE ABOVE COMMENT. ALL UMAR WAS TRYING TO DO WAS TO INJECT A BIT OF HUMOR INTO WHAT HAS BEEN A PRETTY STRESSFUL LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS FOR EVERYONE WHAT WITH THE EARTHQUAKE AND ALL.

WE ALL KNOW WHAT HAS HAPPENED AND EVERYONE IS DEALING WITH IT AND DOING WHAT THEY CAN…BUT, LIFE MUST GO ON. WHAT DO YOU WANT THIS SITE TO BE…..SOMETHING COMPLETELY SERIOUS AND STUFFY?

PERHAPS YOU ARE NEW TO THIS FORUM. IF YOU LOOK AT THE PAST POSTS, YOU WILL READ POSTS ABOUT ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. NO ONE SAID THE WRITINGS ON HERE HAVE TO DEAL WITH SERIOUS, EARTH SHATTERING ISSUES ALL THE TIME.

SO, KINDLY STOP BEING HOLIER THAN THOU AND LET PEOPLE BE. WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE?

its not only about faith … what if a person is not into burgers … then they wont affect you much, if at all.

Forgive me but after losing 13 members of my family to this earthquake my sense of humor doesn’t quite match yours. I am more than aware that LIFE MUST GO ON. I have really welcomed the other posts here. I am not going to comment further on your capital outburst other than to say I HAVE A LIFE unlike 50,000 othersQ!!!!!!!! :(

    Dear Rida….

we are all extremely sorry to hear of the loss of your loved ones to this national tragedy.

It is indeed a time of great patience for all of us.

It is in times like these that we brave the tragedies and greviences, and walk on, together.

We have to keep moving, no matter what.
I hate to make it sound a bit harsh, but no matter who i or you lose, we have to move on for others. Whats done, cannot be undone, those gone, cannot return.

The most we can do is pray for them, regularly, but that is it.

Permit me to speak on behalf of all members here, but we do understand what the loss of a loved one means. It also means that the world doesnt stop.

Today we are here, come tomorrow, we may not be.
but the show must go on.

May Allah forgive all those that have lost their lives in this great tragedy.
May Allah give courage and strength to the breaved.
    May Allah protect us all.
    Ameen.

    Best wishes to all.

I never edit a comment unless it falls below the level of humanity, in which case I simply delete that comment. Zubair, in your case, you used some characters in your comment that do not render correctly in browers. As a result the entire line was not published. I will try to fix it, though.
Something tells me you will keep coming back.

I am not sure about others, but one look at the juicy burger made me aware of how hungry I am. It really made me drool.

Yaaar, umar mera roza maqroon ho raha hain.

And yes as Anathema has said – ‘Bring on the Burgers’.

  16. Imtiaz (unregistered) on October 25th, 2005 @ 11:49 pm

    Rida:

May God bless their souls and give the family patience. It is indeed a tragedy that numbs the senses. Life will wait for you to come back once you are, in your own way and time, over this.

    God bless.

I felt nothing. I took it as a pic & nothing other than that.
