Yahsir Waheed Exhibition – Review

Banner_1.jpg Okay, so I checked out the Yahsir Waheed exhibition that I’d blogged about earlier. The prints were nothing special – it looked like Yahsir had dug up designs from 2 years back and revamped them a bit. What really ticked me off was the cloth – the kameez and shalwar are cotton, but the dupatta’s lawn! Why on earth would I, or any sane female for that matter, want to wear a lawn dupatta with a cotton shalwar kameez?! My advice: only go to the exhibition if you REALLY REALLY can’t find anything at the local stores.

erm. Huma. erm. All cotton suits come with lawn dupattas, irrespective of brand.

What ticked me off was the quality of material. His lawn exibition had material as bad as the Sunday Bazaar market: very fine and hole-y. The cottons were bad quality. We have superb quality from Gul Ahmed.
