Enlightened Moderation Exhibition.

Directions:

1: Go to Schon Circle
2: Look on the rooftop on the building next to Dunkin Donuts.
3: Look at the billboard on the rooftop.
4: Gape in disbelief.
5: Repeat.

This is exactly what happened to me tonight as I passed by Schon Circle. For the curious, there’s a billboard there with President Musharraf’s face, and proclaims: International Enlightened Moderation Exhibition 2006 - Jan 2 - 5 2006, Expo Centre, Karachi. Please explain what exactly an ‘International Enlightened Moderation Exhibition’ is.

With special awareness given on depolarisation, electorate, preservation of respective heritage buildings, rights and integration and sharing values and respect for places of worship, this event is a brilliant opportunity for the minority sectors to work in collaboration with the government for a better and more prosperous future of this country.

.. Now this makes fairly a valid and reasonable stance. Its really an important event and I believe such events should be arranged at all the cities of Pakistan. Karachi is setting a mark. - Way to go!
