Aftermath.

Yesterday I was sitting at the office of an acquaintance, who works near PIDC. Asking him if he got scared when the blast at PIDC happened, he replied in the negative, and said ‘woh tau bahut chota tha’. He then recounted tales of the bomb blasts at the American Embassy and the Sheraton Hotel, which according to him felt like an earthquake was taking place, the impact of it was that tremendous. It reminded me of how many times we have gone through this drill: hear the news of a bomb blast, call up relatives and friends who may be in the vincinity, send frantic SMS’ to people who would be on that traffic route, watch the news feverishly for 2 hours…and then move on. Please, we’ve had enough of this violence, we’ve proved we can deal with it now – will there ever be an end to this ‘don’t trust anyone, don’t go to fast food chains’ cycle that we’ve gotten into?

Abbu was 3 minutes away from the spot when it happened. We don’t move on literally but I guess we have to. Plus, where do we go if we don’t move on? Change jobs? Stay at home? And then there are people like us who work in high rise buildings. :) Where do we go?

Such is life. Take it by the second.

i agree Insiya.besides this gives the terrorist a reason to terrorise the citizens more…
not that we can do anything else about it!! as to demonstraate the protests or anything in large numbers like they did in jordan.
may be mqms support would help….they are great at taking out large rallies!

is there anything we (as in the silent majority)can do as anation with out political or religiouis support in this country?
