According to this newspaper article published today, the 3 stock exchanges of the country have withdrawn their joint legal suit against PEX Limited.

The decision comes at an interesting time, since Mr. Lodhi has been appointed as the MD of the KSE less than a week ago.

PEX Limited is a privately managed ECN (Electronic Communications Network), that was set up to act as the fourth Stock Exchange in Pakistan. Being an ECN, it could be set up anywhere around the globe, and all processes would be completely electronic.

We all have read much about the tour of the UN Goodwill Ambassadors Angelina Jolie and Heartthrob Brad Pitt making a tour of the Earthquake devastated areas of Pakistan. This tour is an important PR campaign to attract international attention to the much needed aid for the poor.

Through the grapevine I have heard that Jolie is very much dissatisfied at the response she is getting in this trip. She has been bombarded with autograph hunters, picture hounds and of course the wannabe hand shakers (we all must remember the famous Shaukat Aziz handshake which seemed to be glued with Elfy onto the hand of Angelina Jolie). Hollywood Actress is used to the picture hounds and autograph hunters but on this noble tour she really wanted to get a better opportunity to meet the victims. But sadly the hosts have other plans, the plans are basically to oblige their own family members and friends into arranging a meeting and get togethers with her fans. The mole has said that the hosts have usually herded her into a room promising an important meeting but it then turns out to be another fan club. She has repeatedly complained to her hosts but it seems to be falling on deaf ears.
