Oh no.

I just read the following news item on The News website:

Musharraf arrives in Karachi

KARACHI: President Pervez Musharraf arrived in Karachi today on a two-day visit, Geo TV reported. He will preside over a meeting of Sindh district nazims this evening. He will also visit Kara film festival ongoing in the metropolis. Musharraf will inaugurate the first phase of the under construction Bin Qasim Park at Clifton tomorrow morning. He will also hold meetings with groups of Sindh ruling coalition separately on Monday.

You all know what that means right? Do not think of attending the Kara Film Fest. Do not go to Clifton. Pack your car with supplies to keep yourself entertained during the long traffic jams. And of course, make sure you leave at least 2 hours in advance to reach your respective destination.

Oh damn. Uncle Musharraf shouldn’t do that. Why don’t they dig up tunnels, Mughal style? They don’t even have to let us in on private meetings and just slither in and out of the city any day.

    Wow. My ideas. (cross-eyed wonderment)

    “SAY IT AGAIN HUMA”

Assalaam-o-alaikum to all… may Allah be with you all.

well Huma, i’m ‘Cent Per Cent’ agree to your comments about the traffic jammed throughout the sharae faisal to EAST-WEST-NORTH-SOUTH.

i dont know, what on earth they are trying to portray with this attitude. being a leader of the nation, the leader of the most prestigeous house of the country, he, the president, is supposed to use his brain….

its a very humble request to Honourable, His Highness, His Excellency, please have mercy on Karachi.

WHY DONT YOU USE A HELICOPTER FOR VISITING ANYWHERE IN KARACHI……

why you put the entire city into a hassle and create problems for us.

but hey, its all our fault….. its really our own fault, because we dont vote for the right candidates, and that led to these generals to come and command us.

I have seen Bill Clinton, when he was the president and was on a visit to New York, was jogging with 5 security guards on the streets….. isn’t it unbelievable for us..????

while talking to one of my visiting friend, she asked me:
WHY THERE IS NO ACCOUNTABILITY IN YOUR COUNTRY????

WHY THE ILLETERATE AND ILL-MANNERED PEOPLE ARE SITTING IN THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS HOUSE (ASSEMBLY) OF THE COUNTRY????

she further said, that when we select a peon or a servant for home or office, we prefer HONEST, WELL MANNERED, REASONABLY EDUCATED, AND HOPE-FULLY TRUSTWORTHY individuals, so why this is not the criteria for the most prestigeous house…. for people who are going to write the fate of the entire nation….????

and i was speechless, can’t find the answers…

this country has become like a jungle, its no more a place to live…. i remember the words of one of the leading writer, she said in her interview…..”jungle mein bhi aik qanoon hota hai…jub sher ka pait bhar jata hai, tu wo kissi janwar to naheen marta”.

its really sad, its really really sad that this country, the dear homeland, my lovely country is still waiting for a TRUE LEADER, and i pray that Allah the Almighty grant us the WISDOM to choose a True Leader and may He keep my lovely homeland in His blessings…..(amen)
