And then we meet

It is not often that one gets to see a complete city in one night. A city is its people. The more the people, the different the people, the more the city you see. I had one such experience last evening. Like always, a wonderful experience to meet with people who nourish your every intellectual crevice. Yet another experience to remember and cherish.

I would like to take you all through a magical journey through the looking glass.

2015 – Message pops up on our screen, “You are late for the frikking meetup you moron”
2020 – I get in my car.
2035 – Why the hell are there no parking spots on Zamzama.
2040 – Umer – you have changed very very very much from when we last met.
2115 – Suddenly engulfed by people I donít know. I am not very good around people I donít know. But then again, they were all very casual and friendly.
2140 – Conversation carries on and food arriveth.
2210 – Food is one thing, but conversation another.
2230 – We need to smoke, we need to take pictures, we need to hide, we need to express, we need to rebel, we need to have Freudian Slips (Sorry Dr Sahib), we need to have strange ideas about sharing stories (Sorry Ali), we need to make the strangest of jokes (Sorry Altamash).
2255 – We need Coffee. At Caffeine.
2315 – We listen to songs and we discuss our completely different points on view on music and songs and groups and singers and guitarists.
2345 – We need to go home.
0030 – Goodbye Nabeel.
0050 – I am home.
