Letter to God.

Dear God.

Thank you so much for letting me reach safely to the office, after escaping the nightmare that was Shahrah – e – Faisal this morning. I also want to thank you for giving me patience to fight the urge of getting out of my car and smacking the living daylights out of the security personnel that had barricaded one lane of Shahrah – e – Faisal. I also want to thank you for giving me the good sense to leave for work 45 minutes in advance. But dear God, why did you give all rulers of Karachi a super sized ego and a passion to go vroom vroom on your overburdened roads?

Please get back to me at your earliest convenience.

If these officials are so much scared for their lives and safety, why don’t they just stay the hell away from Karachi. After all, it is them who chose to move the capital to islamabad. The only good thing that sometimes come out of these high profile visits is that some sparse broken roads get repaired (to be broken again after sometimes) and the garbage dumps being cleared up for a while.
