If government should focus on alleviating poverty and unemployment, such occurances can be avoided. I was born and brought in Karachi and I have deep passion for the city. There is a sense of depravation and animosity among our youth caused by several internal and external factor. The city has gone from bad to worse in last 20 years. The resurgence of MQM in mid 80's has brought nothing but bloodshed to innocent bystanders. Their leaders should be hanged publically! It is very embarassing for Karachi and Pakistan. You at least have acknowledged the problem. Please add "agwa barai tawaan" and "dakaiti" in this list as well. I wonder what the heck the government is doing about this. I just do not understand why they can control this in Islamabad and not in Karachi. The "agencies" can find terrorist in their "rat holes" but they cannot "smoke out" these culprits in Karachi.
