Here is another proof of lack of common sense in government officials. Eid holidays are on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Do you expect our hard working people to show up at work on Monday and Friday? I seriously doubt it. So why not give the entire week off and save us from violating the laws.

We’ve switched our company holiday from Tuesday to Friday. As it is, Friday is the 3rd day of Eid, and with Juma prayers, you cannot expect to get any work done that day.
So we work on Monday & Tuesday, and then have a 5-day weekend.

Adil, at least ur office walas r exercising some common sense…attendance would definetly be lean on the 2 days…those who can manage to stay away - would stay away and those who can’t, would come and waste the whole day…
Are you kidding me, with our work schedule, we are asking workers to take only two days off cuz we simply cannot afford any holidays…. ofcourse we are paying them overtime for that…
Oh please! — I agree with Tanzila — if you can make it and have a strong work-ethic you will go to work on Mon. and Fri. — as it is, we get enough holidays –you’d have to be incredibly lazy to not go in on Mon. and Fri. — It’s people like you who perpretrate the image that we’re all lazy folks who have no professionalism.

I honestly dont see the point of a three day holiday, nor do I agree that we should get the entire week off - that’s where I’ll agree with Dan, that if you have a strong work ethic, nothing will keep you away from the office.

who are talking about a week long holidays, if u ppl get some time so please take a look at economy of pakistan and then talk about week long holidays. 1 day OFF of the regular week day cost billions of rupees to our loving country.
if we love our country so we should really start thinking positively and also should act positively.
