Bryan Adams Rocks Karachi the anticipation and excitement was well worth the wait, as tonight Karachi truly rocked in unison at the Bryan Adams Concert. The high ticket price still drew in a massive crowd and estimates of 10,000 were quite realistic, it seems the steep price, the 40km distance to the venue, and iron-clad security were probably the main deterring factors keeping the nuisance crowd away. The organisers went to extreme measures to make sure the event proceeds smoothly and full credit goes out to each and every volunteer in the effort.

The security was iron-clad tight with vehicle inspection being conducted by the armed force a well 2 km from the venue with organised queues, we then parked our cars in the dustiest, but ample, parking space and were escorted into organized screening areas which was being operated very efficiently. the first ever international mega-scale concert in Pakistan it was truly worth remembering and will be the buzz word around town for a good few weeks. We would remember the well behaved crowds, the truly amazing singing, the hundreds of cell phones, capturing the concert live and not to forget the massive dose of dust accumulated on top of every vehicle parked in the parking lot. For tonight any car driving on the streets of Karachi coated with a massive layer of dust, basically is a testament to HAVE BEEN THERE, a trademark for having attended the Concert. Karachi you have again made us proud.

For those who attended the concert do narrate your views in the comment section below so that we all can share our experiences.

    hey TM!!!

i was part of the concert too! and God!!!!!!what an amazing performance by the guy!it was hard to believe that i found NO difference..i say NO difference between his performance in karachi and his live concert in Japan which i have in CDs,playing mouthorgan and guitar at same time..only bryan can do that!no doubt arrangments were awesome,i was not beliving that i am in karachi, amazing lights arragnments, they were really professional.I also got chance to get mingled with our elite class ,what do i say about them..i really feel pitty for those guys and I really thank God that i dont belong them!..anyways

TM!the two pics..i can figure out your did you manage to move forward so much!:>..i was almost in the center and was able to view all of them properly and being a guy of height 5ft 8 inch,it helped a lot to see everyone easily,a girl next to me was so restless as she was not more than 5’2″,i think it was not fair with ladies.

i didnt find anyone from KMB,yes i think i found a lady who was looking like Kiran(Kirna),i am not sure it was her or somebody else, found mareena khan.

Oh yeah awab, didnt you take the snap of girl who performed with adams and hugged her?;)

  17. Noman (unregistered) on January 30th, 2006 @ 11:42 am

@ Adnan : I am not angry at all,I was just upset with your comment on public forum about elite class.
On the side note, I would not ever try to get free entrance nor would avail 2 entrances for one ticket and please do not blame Pakistan for your acts, it does not happen in Pakistan, it is you who do such things in Pakistan. No hard feelings, have fun.

  18. Adnan Siddiqi (unregistered) on January 30th, 2006 @ 11:57 am

noman,i bought the tickets and i mentioned it,how could you advise me NOT to blame others while you are blamig me?truly hypocrite.NO you are not upset with my comments only but you are being harsh with others as well.chill dude! have fun and enjoy the time and my comment was not on basis of one or two individuals anyway,if it offended you then i am sorry :>

  19. Adnan Siddiqi (unregistered) on January 30th, 2006 @ 12:34 pm

why there is no media coverage??i didnt find a single line in Jang paper about the concert, just because it was not arranged by GEO?

  20. Omar Qureshi (unregistered) on January 30th, 2006 @ 12:42 pm

Amazing performance. The finale was amazing, with Bryan singing unplugged. He was not off-key for even a moment throughout the show – a sign of a great musician. Let’s hope this sets a precedent for the future.

Man it was on night I will never forget n i’m sure there are a lot of ppl out there like me I hope we have more singers like Bryan come to Pakistan and actually get a first hand experience of our country our culture our traditions and that we are not all about nuclear bombs and terrorists and not all of us wear a turban and have beards and yeah even our women hug the ppl they adore n love we r just normal human beings who also love life and music as much as the next person therefore I thank Karachi for making this event a success and I’m sure this is a beginning of some thing really wonderful inshAllah and I would also like to thank Bryan Adams for actually giving us a chance to prove our self and making it a night for us to remember as well, a big hand for Shezad Roy his Org the Volunteers every single person who actually made this even possible I got all of my 3500 worth… Thank You

This is the only reason why i firmly believe in keeping entertainment and charity at an arms length ….it is not correct to blame someone who stole the roof of the school for the earthquake survivours ….by not paying the full amount of the ticket. actually its SHAME ON US who missed the Bargain !

MUNIB keep jamming dude YOU ROCK !
