Not a very big crowd to begin with for today's game, but very entertaining all the same (seeing it on telly right now), and up till now, Karachi also doing quite well.

But is it just me, or does anyone find these tacky nicknames for the teams a bit too tacky? I mean Dolphins and Zebras? A city as vibrant, as energetic and colourful as us, and all they organisers could think up as a nickname for our sides was 'Dolphins' and 'Zebras'!!! What have either got anything remotely close to do with the city or even the manner in which the teams play? For God's sakes, it doesn't even rhyme.

And my word, has anyone even looked at what these guys are wearing? Bright yellow (Peshawar Panther) and even brighter orange (Lahore Lions)?! And on top of all this they've also got an orange ball!

Inzama Ul Haq will not be participating in the 20/20 cup because of his back problems and it has been confirmed. He wants to take some rest and get fit for the Sri Lanka tour.

I think , this should be done on more like NBA or NFL league setup here in North America.
THis way pcb can make money of merchandize and ticket sales. I know its very early for 20/20 , but i know its a step in the right direction.

Dunno why India is so much against it.

To be honest, ODIs are long as hell and even in pardes take a toll on a whole night and consequently the whole next day.

2-3 hour matches are more favourable. More exciting and worth the time.

Whoops, sorry, i didn't realized that Shoaib Akhtar's name was in there, otherwise I would have deleted it. Anyway, Afridi and Shoaib won't be there, but Inzamam is going to be there.... according to PCB.

As for the indian series, yeah it was major dis, but atleast we won the test series..... and now we can have a fresh start with the twenty20.... and hopefully it will be fun and one of the Karachi teams will win it ;)

Sounds good but the recent ODI series with India was such a huge disappointment for me that I'd take me some time to recover. :)
Thanks for info though.
