According to the report, the 500 notes are an exact replica of the original except for the quality of the paper. Since the authorities have started to crackdown in Lahore, the counterfeiters might move them to other cities of Pakistan. So be careful when accepting the 500 notes, if you suspect anything, ask the cashier to give you another one.
