Fresh air.

A thought that struck me yesterday, after being stuck in traffic for 40 minutes: When was the last time you inhaled fresh, clean air in this city?

@HUMA : You are really lucky. Say “shabash” to me. I got stuck near Mazar-e-Quaid for not more, but “only” 105 minutes on Imam Hussain’s chehlum. The buses, Trucks, Rickshaws , with the most “clean” of gasses throwing out tried their best that i die right there. But thanks to my good health that i & all others there survived.

Be content dear. Worst is yet to come.

I saw an apparently ill women asking her son to see a way out, which he obviously could not. I only managed calling few “good” names to those responsible for such a mess. I wonder if she made it to the doctor or THE GOD.

@ABID: Abid atleast SF has open space, so once in a while you can be fortunate to breath few fresh air molecules. Try an adventure near Sadar or MA JINNAH.

MB, didn’t you know that it was Chehlum procession that day?

Well I have a lovely balcony with yards of open space in front hence fresh air all the time after a rough and tough day in KHI traffic.

Today, when I woke up at fajr.

Nothing better than early morning fresh air.

There is a thick dense layer of black SMOG in Karachi mornings. Which thins away during the day as the temprature rises.

I am not sure how u get fresh air in the morning. Feels like inhaling all the pollution from yesterday.

i got caught up in VIP movement today….
was forced to drive about 5 km ahead from my intended destination…..while i was low on fuel….
the cops later allowed me to stop close to a closed fuel station, till the VIP passed…and then i refuelled and got moving again….

The flip side……. While everyone was stuck on the side of Metroploe to airport, the other side was empty and I was the lucky few who were doing 140 kph on SF. Also, it was a weird experience driving on Karsaz where one side was jam packed for almost half the stretch, but on the other side, there were only two cars, mine and one of these new corollas they’ve given to the police department.
