Dear Mr. Terrorist

I just want to let you know that you might have been successful in making us upset for a couple of days but you cannot keep us down forever. We are a city full of energetic people. We never give up. If you thought you were going to paralize the city by your hideous actions, you thought wrong. 15 million people can’t be beaten by a bunch of sick minded idiots. Did you notice how lively the city was on Friday evening? Everybody was out, without any fear, without any worries. I am sure you were not expecting us to behave like that. You hoped that we would stay indoors like cowards for three straight days. I am sorry to disappoint you, Mr. Terrorist. You have underestimated the people of Karachi. We are survivors and we will survive. You, on the other hand, are destined to be doomed. We will prevail.

Much love,

My dad and sis attended office all 3 days while we all went about our regular routine. It wouldn’t be exaggerating to say that Karachiites are ‘jiyalay’. Thumbs down to you, Mr. Terrorist!

Umar we love you for your true Karachi spirit. You proved once again that we are peace lovers and that we denounce any such acts targeting the peace loving people here. Keep it up dear.

@MARIAM: That was a real eye opener dear. Others should read it as well, not for the sake of opposing or approving but for the sake of “opening your mind”.

and unfortunately terrorists have no ears to hear your rants.

They are just like serpents who just sting and then creep away silently.

They do rattle but you cant hear their rattling either.

I visited the link miriam mentioned, the girl is pretty ignorant about actualt definition of Hijab and can’t make difference that Burqa is not an *Islamic* dresscode at all, showing pic of a lady wit verses on her back, one could use commonsense that muslims wil never offend quranic verses like that.Such posts are not new for me anyway.

@Umar…this spirited talk is alright…But are we doing anything really to stop the next attack?

Sorry for being negative on this positive post. But I hardly see us celebrating our natural instinct of survival as an achievement while the bad guys r on the loose.

I did not see a shakeup of the authorities or any other announcements warning / educating citizens on how to prevent such things.

Pretty sad when terrorists strike only KARACHI,
    Wht is their problem?
I am not saying that they should strike else where, NEVER. Well said Umar, The 90s were the worst and I hope and pray for things to only get better for my eternal love KARACHI!
We equally share the pain of Karachi and yet we assure you that:

We love you !!! KARACHI !!!

    Nice one Umar.
It would be nice if someone chalk this message on the streets of karachi. This would be much better than the other ugly stuff we see on the walls everywhere.
