Beware! Beware!

…the President is here!

Well. Our esteemed President has decided to visit our lovely city. And is planning to come to I.I. Chundrigar Road today. Which means that no one can park on the streets, in the side lanes, all pan walas and newspaper hawkers have been forcibly removed, and walking on the road means getting subjected to menacing stares by the hordes of policemen on the road. Of course, it is of little or no importance to the President that we’re getting inconvenienced, or that many people will lose their livelihood today thanks to ‘security protocol’.

Karchiites should form a human chain on shahrae faisal, completely civic and not blocking any traffic, each person with tape on her/his mouth, requesting the president to NOT visit the city and bless them with his absence.

At worst, if the visit has to be made, do it on a Sunday. All those enthralled by his visit and receiving him can work on that Sunday.

Why can’t someone try to write him a letter through his website? He (or his assistants etc.) used to respond.. You guys might want to put this problem up and suggest using Phones or video conferencing than physically coming to khi. Would be cost effective as well. here’s the link.

And I heard the situation’s the same in Isb/Rwp when he moves around. People get late for work in the morning and miss dinners at night.
