Clifton Underpass Ornament – Updated

Here is an updated image to one of the (still) latest things put up in the clifton locality. The original post regarding this is here.

What I fail to understand, is who on earth approves the things that end up at major intersections around the city??

The bird at Jail Chowrangi, Mukka Chowk in FB Area, the goat heads on either side of the Clifton underpass, the strange thing at the intersection of Bbq tonight…The list just goes on. We have objects that no one knows about. What are 2 talwar and 3 talwar supposed to signify? Its only recently that 3 talwar has been marked with the words “Unity, Faith, Discipline”, but what about 2 talwar?

I know that the one at BBQ Tonight was done by Amin Guljee, but has anyone cared to create awareness about the artistic value attached to it? Has the government department involved in commissioning the structure made people aware of what they have acquired for the city?

Not to mention, at one time we were also madly in love with replicas of missiles, the creators of which have fallen (or have been dropped) from grace…

The picture is hilarious – never saw this ornament this particular way – now at least the KPT people have another another BIRDY to worry about including the million rupee water fountain on the sea shore :P

Whosoever dreamt this ornament up needs to be awarded a medal for the stupidest design ever created (BTW whats the moral behind the creation) apart from the image that we see….

There used to be a time when town hall meetings used to be held at the Frere Hall to decide issues such as this. But alas, that all ended after 1947.

This is a very twisted Circle :( , Maybe it signifies how twisted our leaders are :P. They should at least give it a title.

Hey, the govt has finally admitted that they are f… Karachi. Now the finger just makes it clearer. This has to be the most hideous thing i have ever seen, next to the cock (bird) thing they had on jail chowrangi.

even though our Govt. doesnt think before doing something but there are few things that need to be clarified.
1- The Goats on the side of the underpass… the Goats there are the FWO logo and since the under pass was constructed by them therefore they placed it there.
2- The 3 words on the 3 Talwaar have always been there for as long as I can remember
3- It is widly beleived that 3 and 2 Talwaar were build by ZA Bhutto as it was his party’s sign and had also planned on building a 1 Talwar at the now Park Towers mini roundabout (stupid thing, still cant figure out how to cross it)
4- The BBQ thingee well I guess the Govt. were literally begging for something to be placed there for which they wouldnt hav to a pay a single penny and thats what they got, something cheaper than that
but this new what ever u call it at Schon circle is something that landed from Mars and ppl. of Earth can not make head or tail out of it.

Can someone put a pic of the Minto Chowrangi, near hill park. If a company is sponsoring a chowrangi/ fountain or any other structure shouldn’t it be tasteful/artistic. The toothpaste erected on top of a pillar is more of an eyesore.

Should we expect increase in drug business after completition of all underpasses.More investment will come in city in form of cocaine etc.
