Sho’≈ï’sh Bar’bu≈ß-o-N√°y (IV of IV)

Part I: Pehli Awaaz
Part II: Doosri Awaaz

Pehli Awaaz

Ger hai yehi maslik-e-shums-o-qam’r, in shums-o-qam’r ka kya hoga
Raánaî-e-shub ka kya hoga, andaaz-e-saher ka kya hogaa
Jab khoon-e-jiger ber’faab bana, jab ankhaiN aah’n po’sh hooeeN
Iss deed’ah ter ka kya hoga, iss zoq-e-naz’r ka kya hoga
Jab shay’r ke kheemay raakh huay, naghmoN ki tanabaiN t’oot gayeeN
Yeh saaz kahaN sar phoraiN gay, iss kulk-e-goher ka kya hoga
Jab kunj-e-qaf’s maskin t’ehra, aur jaib-o-garebaaN toq-o-rus’n
Ayay ke na ayay mausam-e-gul, iss dard-e-jiger ka kya hoga

Doosri Awaaz

Yeh haath salamat haiN jab tak, iss khooN mein hararut hai jab tak
Iss dil mein sadaaqut hai jab tak, iss nut’q mein taaqut hai jab tak
In tauq-o-salaasil ko hum tum, sikhlayen-gay sho’≈ï’sh bar’bu≈ß-o-n√°y
Woh sho’≈ï’sh jiss ke agay zubuun hungama tabl-e-qaiser-o-kay
Azaad haiN apnay fiker-o-am’l bharpoor khazeena himmat ka
Ik um’r hai apni har sa’√¢t, amroz hai apna har far’daa
Yeh shaam-o-sahar ye shums-o-qam’r, yeh akhtar-o-kaukab apnay haiN
Yeh luuh-o-qal’m, yeh tabl-o-hash’m sub apnay haiN

And that is all, ending at a positive note.

please keep poetry limited to MUSHAIRAS AND BOOKS!!

u didn’t even get any comments…. let me be the first one to un welcome this menace.

if poetry is related to karachi or its busses and trucks, then that would make sense…

so long behold the torture has ended and space has been wasted…..

BTW, I am a big fan of Poetry and Faiz and others but not here…….

Afreen, I don’t like abusive or coarse language either. You may perhaps remember I objected to the use of four letter words in one of your recent posts.
I don’t know if you were threatening to delete my comments or what; half of what you said in your comment (in part 1) didn’t really make sense.
Anyhow, here is some ‘constructive’ criticism:
Do create posts that relate to Karachi in some way.
To provoke other thoughts, use your personal blog.
Scan the poetry and post an image so people like me can read it in its original form.
Don’t look now, but I think you jumped from part 2 to 4. Did I miss part 3?
Remember the tao; the yin and the yang of blogging – A blog cannot exist without its readers :) So ditch the ‘if you don’t like it, don’t read it’ attitude.

    TURN OFF THE LIGHT

It’s getting so lonely inside this bed
Don’t know if I should lick my wounds or say woe is me instead
And there’s an aching inside my head
It’s telling me I’m better off alone
But after midnight morning will come
And the day will see if you will get some

    [Chorus:]
They say that girl ya know she act too tough tough tough
Well it’s till’ I turn off the light, turn off the light
They say that girl you know she act so rough rough rough
Well it’s till’ I turn off the light, turn off the light
And I say follow me follow me follow me down down down down
till’ you see all my dreams
Not everything in this magical world is quite what it seems

I looked above the other day
Cuz I think I’m good and ready for a change
I live my life by the moon
If it’s high play it low, if it’s harvest go slow and if it’s full, then go
But after midnight morning will come
And the day will see if you’re gonna get some

    [Chorus]

I’m searching for things that I just cannot see
Why don’t you don’t you don’t you come and be with me
I pretend to be cool with me, want to believe
That I can do it on my own without my heart on my sleeve
I’m running, I’m running, catch up with me life
Where is the love that I’m looking to find
It’s all in me, can’t you see, I can see, why can’t you see it’s all in me

    [Chorus]

    Where is your logic
    Who do you need
Where can you turn in your delicate time of need
Follow me down, follow me down down down,
I do not need I do not need nobody
    Where is your logic
    Who do you need
Where can you turn in your delicate time of need

(TURN OFF THE LIGHT ,NELLY FURTADO)
