Homegrown solution..

The clifton area has been under development for a pretty long time, what with the underpass, and new roads and everything. Typically, the last thing to come in such developments are the street lights, and till that time, the residents (and visitors) have to do with whatever lights generated from their cars etc. This was why this particular pole caught my attention. Standing just outside Roll-in, its the only one of its kind here, with 6 floodlights total, four pointing up n down the main road, while two on either side.

Im not sure who errected this, but since the area has a heavy aga khani presense, i wouldnt be surprised if that had come about after a little arm twisting from them. Incidently, their Jamat-khana is also placed right across from the light as well.

Nice! Thanks for the posting — Could we get a followup with a night shot so we can see how it illuminates the area.

heres my question – is it being billed to whoever has put it up or is it a “kunda” connection thats further draining the scarce power resources of the city?
