A Building Collapsed

A building collapsed in Bihar colony on Monday leaving one dead and six injured. The cause behind the incident is said to be the lack of maintenance. The officials said that the building was built without any permission from the relevant authority.

There are many more such buildings throughout the city, which are either declared dangerous or are built without any permission from the Karachi Building Authority and they don’t even fulfill the safety requirements necessary to keep the building erect.

Karachi Building Authority should take stern action against such builders, sending them off to the jail and charging them with heavy penalties, also all such structures which are posing a danger to precious lives should be demolished before they collapses on there own with catastrophic results.

That’s right it was without their official permission and with un-official backing & money coming into play.

Come on Jamash, it sounds more of a joke these days when we say Karachi Building Authority should do something. It’s all happening with their unofficial consent and wishes. They, for money are destroying this city. You better send them to jail first before doing any other thing. Read Cowasjee’s columns which often say a story about their corruption.
