Beautiful Weather = No Electricity?
So it seems that KESC is completely utilizing the beautiful weather that we’ve been having for the past week by shutting down the power supply regularly. According to Dawn, while the CEO of KESC was briefing the President on it’s “improved” performance…a lot of places in Karachi were without electricity.
In my area the electricity is playing hide and seek. We have no electricity for 2 hours…then we have a 45 minute respite and then we’d be without electricity again. You’d think it was running hurdles while it was gone and is taking a break when it comes back on.
According to the CEO of KESC;
The vision of the KESC management is to win consumers’ trust by providing excellent service.
Big words from someone who has yet to show any of the promised improvement.

Dont be mean ppl
they need to save electricity somehow
its good weather so ofcourse they’ll keep it off as much as possible
isnt it better to cut it out when weather is pleasant =D
and please dont think they are on our side..
I checked their website out – http://kesc.com.pk/ – to see if there is a way to contact the CEO, this Frank Scherschmidt guy, and tell him what bullshit he is spewing but the Contact Us link is aparently ‘coming soon’ so good luck with that…
Can we stop beating the dead horse. Go around and ask public not to steal electricity.
@Yo Yo, True very true…especially the kunda we all are guilty for at our cricket night matches in the streets
I mean its obvious if we don’t make the start of stopping this, then who will?
This dead horse comes to haunt us for hours every day.
sorry guys excuse me for being so negative…but to be very honest i am very happy with Mr Grips ..because of him or shall i say despite of him making the whole country suffer so indiscrimnately…yet i have been able to watch the biggest sports events live such as the french open finals,all matches of maria sharapova and sania mirza live from the wimbledon ,the fifa world cup 2006 from Germany,and the best of all the sports event of the year LE TOUR DE FRANCE cycling race 2006 a 23 day package of fun and advanture …..and now the cricket series from england…..as a matter of fact iam so content that i may not mind missing an event till next summer….thank you Mr Grips !
The KESC problem has been entrenched in Karachi since easily the past ten years! The new KESC CEO Frank Some-schmidt is no magician. We gotta give him some time and also change our own attitudes towards electricity stealers
