Blogspot Unbanned
Okay I know a lot of you will groan but please bear with it. Blogspot has been unbanned. Heard it first from Society Against Internet Censorship in Pakistan checked it out myself and CyberNet is allowing access to blogspot blogs. No idea what brought this around but I’m hoping it’s here to stay.
Any confirmations from other ISP’s?
Yes, I couldn’t access blogspot till yesterday but now I can. I’m using Dancom’s DSL. Finally, the government has realized its mistake. Thanks to pkblogs.com for their effort during this time. It was a slap on government’s face on banning of blogspot :)
Yes, Dancom Islamabad good to go! :) Please to hear that and what a success story for the ‘society’ and the nation against censorship ^_^
thanks thats a great newz and yeah a succseeful story for the society and nation too but hope they dont ban it again.
Remember our Fellows… See what they are facing…

Couldnt access it till around 2 PM.. got access after that. And this was on Cybernet.
seems to be working fine using maxcom.
Yup, can now access it though my local cable wala.
Why was it banned it the first place? What other sites are banned?
Its WORKING!!!!
:D
HEY! It wasn’t working last light by 1 AM, on cybernet (Fariya Cable), It is on Supernet. Good news guys!! :D
ISP dont ban any website at all.Its all controlled by PTA.If site A is working on an ISP X then it should work on other ISPs as well unless the ISP itself ban the address as well.Cybernet doesn’t ban any website at all neither ISP people were aware of blogspot ban.
Maxcom: Home 128 Rs. 1,800
pretty expensive!
Great news..
lets hope the curse of metroblogging karachi doesnt reverse the action again
Umar, hahahahha.I believe in theory that some spy of PTA does read this website:>
Guys: blogspot.com might have changed IP addresses. We all might be unnecessarily excited at the ‘lifting’ of the ban. The ban just got ineffective and can return back anytime. Watch this happen.
@TEEEMM:I just checked. The IP is same.
I am also wondering that I can access it without any proxy =)
Adnan, As far as I know ISPs DO block these websites individually as per the directives issued to them by PTA. They are bound to follow or else they pay the penalty (whatever that might be) but you get the idea.
