Being the food maniac that I am, particularly interested in all kinds of desi food, I am always on the hunt for great taste. This afternoon, my brother was kind enough to bring Bismillah Food’s biryani and kheer for me. I have had their biryani a lot of times before and I like it *beef only, their chicken biryani isnt good*, it was for the first time that I tried their kheer which wasnt bad at all. I am not an expert, but I think the main ingredients of Kheer are:
It wasnt much different from the ones I have had at home or on the burns road *food center or rabbri walas*. Good taste at a very good price.. They come in these MATTI KAY BANAY HOAY PIYALAY *not sure what they are called* … I am sorry to all those who are sick of my food posts *just because they cannot have it :P*

Illusion:I really appreciate your effort to introduce our local dishes to outer world.Good move.Since you are a food lover like me and i think you love to explore different areas for food only.It would be good if you explore areas like kharadar or others which are not common for karachiites.

Please also post the address of Bismillah Biryani.I am big time Biryani khuwar.

P.S:Do also keep a bottle of Farazaa Dawakhana’s chooran in your pocket everytime to avoid environmental pollution.

ooohhhh, your post is making my mouth drool. I miss Mitti ke piyalay wali kheer.

Although the only thing irritating about this post was that you used * * every time you used latin Urdu. Theres nothing wrong or bad about it man! Hum aakher Pakistani log hain.

Such a coincidence. Just finished a McDonald’s Fish Burger on my way back from one of the most memorable sporting event I have been to. Watching Barcelona FC thrash New York Red Bulls 4-1 at the Giants Stadium.

Couldn’t believe watching the likes of Ronaldinho, Messi, Thuram, Deco and Saviola in real.

Back to the Kheer….Boy do I miss those from Burns Road. I believe someone mentioned Rabri too in the thread.

    I miss home :(

@Dee: Koza is used to drink water or sherbet and is a bit round in shape and a little larger in size.

May be we should start posting some local recipes as well :)
