I have heard some many people commenting negatively on the number of holidays we get in Pakistan *not in this post atleast*. I tell them, isnt it great? Stop being jealous you losers who have chose to live in the Farrangi land and keep complaining about the blessings that we have in this country. Even after all the inflation, we still have time to relax and take long holidays. Wohooooooooooo. I love this country.

The point is not on which days are the Eid holidays, the point is - why does Pakistan always have Eid on a different day to the rest of most of the islamic world? - and sometimes Eid is celebrated on two seperate days within the borders of Pakistan!! - There is only one moon - and so there there can only be one sighting - when one person sees it - its been seen - Period. Sometimes being different isnt special, its stupid.

Ahh, another post to get nostalgic about. When I was there and younger I would come back from namaz and get dragged all over town to meet my parents siblings.

Actually it was always like that on the first day of Eid. come back late int he evening and have some more Eid related food. (Like you needed anymore after all the firni, Siwai, samosas, jalebis, ras malais, and the home made mithas treats) The next couple of days would generally be pretty evenly split between people visiting or me hanging out with friends.

Unfortunately since i havent been home for Eid in about seven yrs, the associations are a little different. Go to nimaaz and then go to work. I once showed up at work all dressed up in a nice kurta shalwar and sandals and everyone was like..WHAA..... that was fun.
