Yeah I agree with you.

and we should really, instead of complaining try and do something about our problems…. but as far as ATMs are concerned, thats hardly in our hands isnt it.

@Kashif Ali Bhutto you withdrew 100k(100,000) in a single day from a single ATM? thats not possible… ATM machines have max limits of aroun 15000-20000 for 24 hours and you can’t withdraw more then that…kindly explain…

secondly if i am not wrong then MCB had ATMs installed in karachi for almost more then 8-10 years now

Hmm American? Rather Aussie life :P…I reckon its just we have a lot of family and friends who don’t really care, so we have left caring also…it gets a bit personal here…but yeh the bottom line is, you do whatever you could, but you cant make everyone happy so why bother if they never see your efforts :). I’d rather be busy with my simple career orientated life than be unhappy cos I cant make my extended family happy :).

I don’t think all people are like that…please reassure :).

Oh the “system” in Paki-land’s great, if you’re loaded with cash, which unfortunately, most of us aren’t! :)

PS :: You can withdraw Rs 20,000 from UBL waaley ATMs; don’t know about the rest.

Having experienced both the US and Pakistani banking systems, I can’t imagine anyone even trying to compare the two. The system in Pakistan is so inconvenient, so annoying.

We have to be a bit proactive I think when we exactly know how the pathetic system around us works. I try to have ample cash with me to last during bank holidays, withdrawan on 28th ramadan.

I have used number of banks here and so far found ATM issues only with MCB. They suck big time. Best service so far is of ABN Amro.
