False alarm
So it was 7:30pm last night, and friends and I were all dressed in kurtas and chappals ready to hit the streets for the celebration of Chaand Raat. Just then a text message comes in and tells us no scene. Eid is on Wednesday. So after so much excitement for this ‘cultural experience’ we had all of today to wait in anticipation for the lights, the people, the fashion, the mehndi, the food, bangles bangles bangles everywhere! Am looking forward to this nights events. I’ll be sharing some of my sights and impressions with you afterwards since I get my camera back tonight aswell (was in for repair, appears that SAMSUNG doesn’t make cameras fit for Karachi heat…)
And of course to everyone! a very happy EID MUBARAK to you and your families!

Thanks for greetings. A gora canuck in Kurta, must be an intresting combo:d
Eid mubarak to everyone !!!
Neo, welcome to the blog.
Oh my, the panda is again forcing me to do this. Neo, please don’t use apostrophes to form plurals; here you have done it twice ‘kurti’s’ and ‘camera’s’. It really hurts to see apostrophes abused this way:)
HENNA!!! at meena bazaar!! WOOHOOOOO!!! :D
eid mubarak to all :)

Orignal and Faisal are more efficient spell checkers than Google’s spell checking system. Did you guys ever try to contact people in googleplex? *grin*
Neoka, You have seen bangles eveywhere bcoz you were enjoying in the women’s section of shopping area. By the way what were you doing their ?
Its funny; but I don’t like putting mehndi.
thank you…..!
Hey Adnan, we are not mere spell checkers, we are ’sensitive sticklers’ for good grammar:)
As Lynn Truss writes ‘We are like the little boy in The Sixth Sense who can see dead people, except that we can see dead punctuation.’
Anyway, Eid Mubarak to you and all the other readers here. Wish you all a happy day.
@Original-Anon,
Eid Mubarak to you and everyone else
here at KMB.
The line about “dead punctuation” made
me smile.
Orignal, thanks for greetings,eid mobarak to you and others as well. I was actually singing your praise. :>
@Faisal – thanks.
@Adnan – I knew what you meant so no problem there.
But really,I keep coming back to the blog to check if the weekly review has been written yet. I am missing it so much:)
