I was all ready for Eid, when right before fajr prayer, a high fever gripped me... thereafter I spent a few long hours miserably shaking in the bed, receiving greeting on the cellphone with half-clsed eyes... and certain that I had been had, finally. Thanks to a million species of plants and just a fewer species of insects in our home. Most concerned friends and family diagnosed that that was it for me. Thankfully, it turned out to be an inconvenient wedding of the birth of the wisdom tooth with a viral fever that is still persisting. A visit to the doctor made me realize that most patients - and there were many in the hospital - were suffering from aching fevers, coughs, and other viral irritants. I got away with one that gives high pitch fevers and an extremely dry throat. But it is bad. We have decided to sacrifice part of this nursery in our home and - sigh! - get fumigated. Problem: our family happens to follow some highly pro-environmental practices. We go to great lengths to recycle and to not use systhetic poison even on pests.<b> Now, are there any environment-friendly, safer alternatives out there in the fumigation market?</b> I'd rather keep the fever than poison the environment. :| :? :\ Oh well.
