Cruise Liner graces our port today.

The Gulf Dream Cruise’s liner arrives today. It’s the first luxury liner to grace our port in decades. The trip takes 5 days and the liner leaves for Dubai on Nov 7th.

They have food, music, shopping and baby sitting facility. Sounds great. The price will be too. But it promises to be quite an experience. While we’ve been a port city since forever not many of us have ever even set foot on a ship, let alone a cruise liner.

If you don’t get sea sick, sailing is an amazing experience. Gives walking on land a whole new meaning.

I think for many in Karachi it might not be a dream cruise in the actual sense, since I have heard they are having a tough time selling rooms as people are disheartened to learn that they are allowed only an 8 hours stay in Dubai. You know our Dubai-going Pakistani mentality, majority of Pakistanis prefer to bunk out for at least 2-3 days enjoy a shopping spree and then head back.

If one is going for the dinners, dances, shows, gambling and drinking then the story is entirely different the pleasure is then ON THE BOAT.

35,000/- wali will suck big time in terms of room and room location etc but you can always sit on the deck most of the time and only go to your room to sleep when you are dead tired. The maximum is 55K+ and thats the perfect one if you want some comfort…

The experience and enjoyment of cruise is within the ship itself, some people even prefer to stay within the ship when the cruise liner stops at various itineraries because there’s so much thing to do and even 4 days fell short apart.

Those who have mentioned sea sickness should not worry, these ships are huge and remain calm, you can hardly feel if its sailing because its a resort on the move!! Slight movement can be felt only if the sea is very rough, otherwise no chance.

They usually provide time table for activities of the day and you’ll hardly find any spare time to get bored on board.

Though its a bit expensive as compared to what other cruise lines like carnival, star cruise etc. offer but atleast we are now getting something like this after so many years….

So good luck to those who are planning to book these trips, i’ll bet you’ll enjoy
