Picture of the Day ; KPT Port Fountain

There are many different ways to view it, but this is one of the most spectacular views i’ve ever seen. I believe this view is taken from a boat out in the harbour, just besides Oyster Rocks.

I don’t think that the picture is taken from a boat. If see the picture more closely, you can see couple of people on the beach.

mona: the fountain is visible from seaview all the way towards keamari. Ask someone to take u to seaview and look in the distance towards the rocks. The best way, however, is to go at around 8 to 9 PM by boat from keamari. you can get a boat chartered for around 2000 (after negotiations) for a round trip (and even get some fishin in). OR use the KPT fountain touring ferry which charges Rs. 200 per person for a round trip.

swa: the fountain was shut down during monsoon season due to rough seas. Its back up again.

    i was kidding….should have realised by now…!

First of all, if the fountain was to be captured from such a distance, it would need more exposure time from a normal camera. Secondly, the exposure would cause the picture to lose sharpness, which is not in the picture’s case. The picture is really sharp. Lastly, the moon doenst have enough ‘light content’ to actually beat the fountain’s light on to the film… or an any case the exposed file.

    This is clearly photoshopped ;)

p.s. And for the idiots who can see the couple, they need to throttle down on the crack :/
