Khoon pasinay ki kamai

Image008.jpg

Winter or summer, these people are busy earning for their bread.
These hard workers make our life convenient and we after paying them few bucks never even care thinking back.
These are the people who really deserve more than a pat on their back. Unlike many who go for robbery, snatching mobile phones, cutting pockets, these hard workers manage to provide “rizq-e-hilal” to their family, something we really can term as “khoon pasinay ki kamai”

After reading “ignorant karachite”, this thread really seems great … :D. I hope Unaiza, u wont mind.

It is something which should be appreciated in these times when mobile snatching and street crimes are the HOTTEST JOBs in the town.

Well done Unaiza for digitalizing the precious perspiration of these hardworking guys.

Sufi, you wrote “Sunk costs are irrelevant.”
History is never irrelevant; do you really think that losing a part of one’s country is irrelevant? That it does not matter how many people suffered, lost their homes, their lives. Aren’t there people still living in refugee camps because of this split?
Of course what you have learnt in your history books is so manipluated, so one-sided. But at the very least we should learn from this so the same mistakes are not repeated and we won’t be saying this about Baloshistan a couple of generations later.
I’m sorry about this but your flippant attitude really irked me.

ex-pakistani: while that was a sad event, it does not go with the theme of this blog, im sure chowk or chowrangi or even Pakistaniat would be a better place for that post.

    @Wasiq,

Are you in your senses? Perhaps you and your mum are on drugs. Get a life dude.

  20. Stinky Poo (unregistered) on December 19th, 2006 @ 1:16 pm

Enough of these “khoon paseenay” stories. Look at how much you are spending on your wedding. Why don’t you tone down your wedding expenses and give the money to the poor. I love how you talk about saving the poor, and then proceed to spend lakhs on your wedding. Pathetic.

  21. Mona (unregistered) on December 19th, 2006 @ 5:41 pm

Wasiq, who are you to judge why someone’s here or why not??

  22. mansoor (unregistered) on December 19th, 2006 @ 5:55 pm

stinky poo: atleast theres some aspect of giving to the poor from unaiza, how much have u given back to society lately? IMO unaiza, or anyone for that matter, should not be ashamed if they have money to spend, its not a crime afterall.

wasiq: dude, get a life. Karachi is a big city and welcoming to all. Not just those who go out and eat at every place imaginable.

@Mansoor….thanks man i have already applied for …but you know how things work in this post-colonial karachi…even with my ancestorial and hereditery privilages they have put me on a waiting list….recently i’ve been told that i could get a new lease on a secondhand life if only i could come up with at least 1500 citations from totally screwed KMB police…..

BTW, have you guys seen the new pepsi ad with shahrukh khan in it …..sounds much better when the king says it himself…..

  25. ash (unregistered) on December 21st, 2006 @ 10:26 am

    wasiq,
maybe this is an inside joke but what did you apply for? And who comes to karachi for drugs? are those two points related? that would make sense :)

  26. wasiq (unregistered) on December 22nd, 2006 @ 8:21 am

Hi ASH….how are you doing…? and how’s the weather in karachi….or where ever you are…!
