Pak Vs WI ODI starts

And it starts to a day of high security. I had to pass in front of National Stadium this morning, and there were more security personnel than spectators outside. The front of the stadium was completely taken over by Rangers, while the roads leading to it were full of police officers conducting spot checks of bikes and cars.

pakwiodi1.jpgThere were also many people, of all ages, coming on foot all the way from Millenium mall towards the stadium, some carrying the Pakistani Flag. As MB pointed out, alternate traffic arrangements have been made to that area, so keep clear unless you want to go see the match.

I am so jealous. OD Cricket in karachi when we are actually playing well!!!
I remember watching the world cup matches on tv in a place not far from the stadium, we heard the crowd roar just before we actually saw what was happening (tv delay, its actually only 1 or 2 seconds).
    Miss that a lot.
