Yes guys you’re right, honesty should not come with a price tag, I mean sure in a country where we live such instances are extremely rare and maybe this could encourage other to follow suite. Here, I also believe that in the first case where the guard returned the bag which belonged to an government ‘celebrity’ the PIA authorities could have been in grave danger had they any remote intention of keeping the lady MNA’s bag…this was to happen and had it been any other commoner, the bag would had been history. The PIA staff would gladly and equally distributed the amount…the failed state that we live in, these instances are not uncommon.

BOZZ : Thank for saying what i intended to. Honesty is supposed to be by default from these men.
Having said that in our case and on our land these men sure need to be appreciated, money or otherwise.

Both GM and Sufi are right in their last posts. We give beat our drums the moment we spot anyone doing his/her job. Something that should be expected of them to do in the first place.

I think Honesty should NOT have a price tag on it.

On the other hand it has been pointed out above that it is a rare occurrence in our society/nation, hence the hala baloo.

I don’t quite see the big deal with this. It’s not like those security guards gave Rs 200,000 out of their own pockets, its money they found whcih they didnt keep. Keeping that money wouldve made them a thief.

I’m an accountant and handle other peoples money on a daily basis. Just because I don’t steal doesn’t make me a hero. I know I sound like a dog here, but come on lets atleast expect people to do what theyre paid for!

they could award them some other benifits beside the monetary benefit i.e. maybe free quality education for their kids….
