Im gonna be visiting karachi after five years this coming feb, inshallah. This time im gonna eat my guts out so im getting hep shots this week, inshallah, cant really risk it hey!

I've been googling about restaurants in karachi, and there is no decent website for restaurants, it wouldve been nice to have all eateries in one website with details like address,ph, open/close time, cuisine, outdoors, reviews, photos etc etc, im pissd off. but hey ive got friends in khi, so no biggie ;)
im excited about coming to karachi, cant wait to have halal food without worrying about it being halal all the time!
See thats a privilege living in a muslim country.
I'll be coming from australia.

Apart from that i think it takes a few days to get used to the pollution and humidity, you shouldnt let it ruin your time. Either wear a mask and sit in an aircon room or get out there and stop complaining, just enjoy it! thats what i say :-)

I just finished my visit to karachi and I felt that there was a sort of energy in the air. People generally seemed happier and everyone seemed motivated.

This is something that I have either forgotten or its something new. Can someone please confirm this? Or was it just that I was happy to be on holiday?

And the worst part is that out of the total cars on a busy road like sharea faisal, more than 60% have only one occupant, which is bizarre. Where have schemes like mass transit and monorails gone.

MONA: The problem of so many cars is here to stay unfortunately, thanks to big banks and leasing companies. You see there is a lot of money to be made by the bigwigs in this mess, both through leasing companies and automobile manufacturers.
People of our city are in a frenzy of sorts to lay their hands on the brand new cars which they couldnt even dream of before the advent of these leasing schemes.

I am visiting Karachi after 5 years, but sorry to say I am not impressed. I am sure its advancing, with whole lot of construction going on - for the betterment of the city and it's people. However the amount of construction going on, that too at the same time is what annoys me - to top of it off more cars- which is good for people however on the other hand there is nowhere to park the cars!! The amount of dust is heaps due to the construction - which is bad for people like myself who have allergy issues from dust. Oh wells I just hope they do it soon and would have been wiser to plan a tad more!!!!
