GEO TV showing the corruption video tape

This is related to Should GEO TV show the video tape ? post. The news is that GEO TV is about to show the video’s we mentioned by an unknown person trying to expose corruption. The program clip has started to roll on the screen these days. Earlier, much was said in comments regarding if GEO will ever show the video or if they should. A good 90 percent voted in favour of showing the video even if it’s sensitive. Whether the video will be shown as it is & uncut is not known right now & also if the video really contains anything worth the risk. But let’s wait and keep fingers crossed. The title for the program is Gumnaam (Nameless)

Here is an aspect to this video thingy. Is it really by a common man or was it all by GEO itself to project its image as champion in news media in a fast declining monotonous media policy which circulates around few political talk shows with stupid repeated question only revolving around wardi, Mushy, USA & MMA instead of real on the ground problems faced by people, one being corruption.

Is it that the guy after much wait found out that GEO won’t show informed the channel that he may well send it over the internet ( he is educated fellow) or may post it to other channels. So jitni muu utni batain for now. Will it be too routine stuff or any dhamaka like Tehelka or Avnish Bajaj in India, we shall come to know.

this is nothing but a marketing stunt by geo the program is only an ad campain for the new guys geo is hiring from diffrent media stations.

should it solve the problem of the common man…

    NO!

well … we’ll just have to wait and see… geo in past has been running a similar show with a miniature hidden cam uncovering different things.. this time they’re saying these vdos are being sent by unknown person.. even if he is unknown.. once those vdos are shown, those people whom its meant to expose would very much recognise this unknown person…

What difference does or will it make. Except being passing time for some or should I say a lot of people.

We have had programs like this many years ago. Anyone care to enlighten me to it’s success? Both in terms of running duration or change in our nations character?

You guys want to see some nasty stuff – watch the Jerry Springer show.
