Zaash, this is a public forum where every evenets should be highlited regardless of likeness or dislikeness. For you tina sani might be nothing but for many others she is infinite times better than kids like Atif Aslam,Junoon etc.

Thanks for the posting however I wouldnt be able to make it:/

Zaash: You can carry your personal preferences and vendettas elsewhere. On this public forum, EVERY event/opinion/class/style/genre/artist is welcome.

    @bayl
you can welcome anyone i dont give a D… but dont call every stupid gathering a CITY EVENT, and probably u skipped out the adnan comments abt junoon and atif

I’m flabbergasted by all comments from zash.

I fail to understand … if you’re not going to appreciate something or, say something nice … then why on earth (go out of your way) to pass (negative) comments?

If you cannot appreciate the great Tina Sani, who in the opinion of many is an icon of ghazal and Urdu adb, why even bother to show your lack of culture?

Btw, Arsalaan thanks for the info on this event. I’m coming! :)

Imran, you are most welcome…….the event starts at 8:30, hope to meet you there.

Adnan and Rabayl, thank you for your positive comments.

    Cheers.

    Zasha…
You have nothing better in life than to criticize every tiny thing that happens around you? Can you remember the last time you did some constructive criticism? I have people like you in my family, and am more than familiar of the ways of your kind. You criticize for the sake of criticizing, not because you genuinely feel something needs to be done or changed. Take your antics elsewhere.

    Should be a fun event, would’ve liked to go…but there’s a shadi, so…

    Zaash, go kill yourself.

What is wrong with you people? If Zaash does not like Tina Sani, it is okay. He is right that this event won’t be classified as City Event. But who has given you the rights to ask him to kill himslef. For few people Tina Sani could be legend but few people would not care about her so that makes even.

thanks for the updates mansoor, zaash is welcome to his/her opinion even if its a strange one. Others are welcome to say they dont like zaash’s opinion too.freedom of the blog and all…

  14. Adnan Siddiqi (unregistered) on January 14th, 2007 @ 4:03 pm

Sufi I feel sorry for you kid.

Freedom means to tolerate all flavors rather some particular one. Nobody forced him to attend that particular event. I personally don’t like things like Black Fish comedy but few people do like such programs, it doesn’t mean I come out and say “Ye Comedy nahi hosakti”.

I wonder who gives right to POO here to declare which event is a city event and which is not? This is the same guy who often criticize things like Blackfish and says “this is not kind of my joke” and now he’s preaching about freedom. Man you should always go thru archive of this blog to recall your own words before you come out and preach others. If things like Blackfish,Junoon or Bryan adams concerts could be highlited then why not Tina Sani or Nayara noor.

  15. Poo Poo head (unregistered) on January 14th, 2007 @ 10:19 pm

Adnan, seriously you have got the problems. I did not say that this event could not be projected. I just said that this event is not a City Event. Go and find out the definition of city event please.

  16. Adnan Siddiqi (unregistered) on January 15th, 2007 @ 10:14 am

No my friend I have no problems at all. I just don’t get why don’t you follow your own words which you often say for others? The mentioned event was a public that is everyone INCLUDING you and me could enjoy the moments by paying few hundred bucks that is it was not a private program.

You and me both have been here for long time and you should appreciate that this POST which is thousand times better than few lame posts which you ,me and others disliked in past. For me and others, this post was a good thing as I forwarded this post to several people who likes to listen tina sani live. As someone siad above that criticize for the sake of criticizing is not a good thing.

The main purpose of metroblog is to mention things happening in Karachi, whether they are arranged in a 5 star hotel or in a Tamboo[Tent]. As long as the program/event is public, it should be highlited whether it’s a tina sani/Bryan Adams concert or Macworld

Adnan, I do not have any problem with this posting. I just said that it was not city event which does not imply that it should not be posted(I was just trying to explain definition of city event which I guess went useless). Per some newspaper there were only 40 people in Tina Sani mehfil which are far less than the number of people who’d come to my Jinazah believe me.

  18. Adnan Siddiqi (unregistered) on January 15th, 2007 @ 12:13 pm

Infact you didn’t give any definition of “City event” at all. What I said that it was a useless rant to screw a post just because it’s not meeting the requirement of certain quantity of people. At one side you criticized me on other thread that I show off personal knowledge publicly while on other hand you don’t miss a chance to educate others about certain things. I don’t get it at all.

OT: Unlike you, i can’t gurantee how many people would attend my janaza because I can’t guess my death location. I can’t even gurantee that I would die as a Muslim or as a Kafir. Nobody can. Anyways, me signs off. Have fun!

  23. Arsalaan Haleem (unregistered) on January 16th, 2007 @ 1:06 pm

    Redsnapper, give them a call, either at 585 0031, or 0301 222 6050.

As far as I know, they are quite active in promoting classical music.

  24. redsnapper (unregistered) on January 18th, 2007 @ 1:11 pm

Thanks Arsalan. Their web site didn’t show a lot of activities for 2006 but I’ll take your word for it. Will check out their membership.

    Thanks again.
