Parked exactly under the No Parking and the Tow Away Zone signs, these motorcycles show our disregard for the traffic laws.

I think they parked under tow away zone prolly becasue the picture shows only car, so our intelligent motorcyclist probably assuming themselves exempted from it. And then we blame our governments for every thing

No, They are used to park on “No Parking Sign”
becasue one barely find a “Parking Sign” in the city of cars. so atleast they are contributing their money for city of Karachi by paying traffic police “Chalaan” or 50s so We will have more Parking Sign.

    Ahad

Thats a nice picture, but why didnt u turn your back and took a picture of the flyover and traffic behind you, the flyover was open on eid (just to show how efficient our Government is) and now its been again closed for some reasons, isnt this all comes under hypocrisy our news paper says something else but the picture is some what different

just erecting NO Parking signs is’nt enough … either you have given them a option for proper parking then these people can be blamed other wise you don’t expect them to fold their bikes and take it with them in their pockets… secondly NO PARKING signs have lately being erected by private individuals and commercial organizations/shops/schools without the permission of traffic department.. where ever any one wants they just erect a NO parking sign…

that flyover btw is getting finishing touches.. highlighter and road markings being done.. they better get the work done fast coz its causing jams…

The picture depicts one side of the coin. Putting no-parking and tow-away signs is good, at least that justifies the challan :) but what about the facilities? The CDGK eliminated parking ground next adjacent to civic center building and now people have to park on side roads around and across civic center. Has anybody thought about it?

Hasan square flyover, well, I have no idea why it was built in the first place. It has caused more harm than good to the commuters. Elimination of traffic signal from hasan square round-about is causing long traffic jams there.

I seriously wanted to take picture of this place and write about it on my blog but I find photographing in public quite an embarrassment. Do you?

    useless post… no solution specified…
advice: please also post solutions with critcism so to make your posts worth reading. I’ve been reading this blog for a month now. but I’m sorry to say that 80% of posts are useless critcism either on the govt or karachiites.

Hameed, although I am not a big fan of criticism, but its not the job of the critics to give solutions.

    cheers..
