By the way, wouldn’t it be suffocating for the child sitting on the Driver’s lap (I assume) and the driver himself, with the other three (or maybe four) boys, hogging the ‘doorways’.

i hope this shows thirst for knowledge despite all adversity. The boy shown looks incredibly dignified for all the absurdity of the pic. Maybe it is lahore, but we get more hits so its appropriate for it to be here

It is Lahore; but I couldn’t resist sharing this photo. Despite the discomfort and agony they must be going through, they look .. well, dignified. En route to get an education, by hook or by crook! Amazing.

It shows how much do we care about our children. “we” includes governments, parents and all of us.

We don’t have such rickshaws in Karachi and I am also not aware of the rickshaws used as school busses in Karachi. This picture is from Lahore I remember seeing it in the actual context. May be someone should cross post it to lahore metblogs.
