Land Scam!

I’ve been trying to deal with these mafias too for quite sometime, cuz a plot of ours has been taken over by them. From the inquiries i made, i learned that the federal govt was alteast serious about vacating these lands. Now i read this news, and think that maybe i just might get back the plot afterall.

A big land scam has been unearthed involving illegal occupation of 22,965 acres located in 18 towns and 8,162 square yards of the city survey, acquired through manipulation of the land record. The value of the land is estimated to the tune of over Rs81 billion, it is reliably learnt.

For those who will say, “so what.. they keep making inquiries and nothing happens..” i say, its atleast better now that its public.

MB: my parents and other relatives were alloted a couple of plots way back in the 70’s. The land is now under illegal occupation, and now we’re trying to get the authorities to take it back and let us have it. So far, its not really going good…

Mansoor, in first place why were they alloted ?? Might be army/naval officers plots :-) ?? If you could not get them back in dictator’s govt. then forget it man.

    Mansoor,
I sincerely feel sad over this for you and particulary your family, who have it and yet dont.
My family suffered losses with an appartment and a house. Terrible I mean both times would you belive it was Police walas? When approached DIG he smiled and said ” sir i can send you some troops push them out like that, but cant gaurantee what happens to you tomorrow”. So we paid both times to gracefully let them go.
If you can be more specific where and what kind of proeprty is under land mafia, we might come up with beter solutions together.
And by the way mansoor, great blogs and good picks. I admire your approach of subjects. Quite postive minded. Keep it up!

i just don’t wana say this but Governor is him self involved in all this as well… files of all comercial properties at prime locations are being checked and rechecked by governor’s goons at civic center to find some loop holes in any of `em and are being occupied on different pretexts… he must be having his eye on other properties too thats why he is making all the hue and cry ..

if your property is expensive and you’re willing to spend some money to get it vacated then pay your local MQM wala and he’ll get it librated in no time for you…

    Like I said before,
“You dont talk to an italian mafia. You hire a Ukranian to talk for you”
Simply think of it as a business procedure.

Money talks, Bullsh!t walks. Adam smith called it Capitalism.

Look what Mr Cowasjee has to say about the real thugs from karachi

    ‘Hamara Karachi’
The fire-fighting ability of Karachi’s fire brigade is zero. Its equipment is obsolete, and now the Quaid-e-Tehrik, Altaf Hussain” (aka Rahbar-e-Tehrik, Pir Sahib of London Town, citizen of the United Kingdom safely residing in his adopted home – all praise be to him).’s men are grabbing portions of fire station amenity plots on which to establish industrial plants (Dawn Jan 21, 2007). Will Pir Sahib’s man on the spot, Governor Ishratul Ebad, please awaken, and hold an enquiry before calamity strikes.
