Be on TV

Shopping at Gulf shopping center, I was approached by a cameraman and another guy with mic in their hand, :’Can you please say a few words for ARY TV Channel?”
“What words?”
“Just say that the Bhamboor Festival organised by ARY is very good.”
“What? How can I say that I don’t even know what this bhamboor festival is. ”
“Please we need some comments.”
“Im sorry. ”

But the next girl they approach says what they wanted her to say. I went to her and asked if she knew anything about this Bhamboor festival and discovered it was only that she wanted to be on the TV.

Are people really that crazy about being on TV that they would say just anything? Are TV channels that unethical to do publicity of events by showing false testimonials?

Unrelated: Welcome back, Unaiza….we missed you. By the way, is it still Unaiza Nasim or Unaiza Umar?

Regarding your post: Well, telling a small lie just to be on TV is no big deal when considering the fact that we, Pakistanis, lie all the time.

At least, the girl get to be on TV due to her ‘small effort’. I’d say, Good for her!

…..and why didn’t you ask the Ary crew some basic information about this Bhamboor Festival? Maybe, then you may have given some related comments about the festival.

So we don’t let an opportunity go by to publicise an occassion when we displayed higher standards of personal morality. A useless blog, in my opinion.

Better lie than lie on the casting couch for a chance on the tele.

Dr. Shahid Masood left ARY for Geo. This would be a big blow to them.

Yaar log machis jaise program main aajatey hain to be on TV then yeh kia hai. These channels are itself filled with wannabees aur Paki awaam ko toh akal hai nahi tabhi yeh sab chal raha hai. Unethical for sure and what a stupid name for the festival.

yaa koi khwaab in aankhon ko dikhaayaa naa karo –
dil hai naajuk ise tum aise dukhaayaa naa karo
jhute ilzaam meri jaan lagaayaa naa karo

Well, she talked what she needed to be on the Tele. By the way, everyone should goto the Bhambore Shopping Festival, Karachi Expo Center Hall 5 & 6 as it is a part of Muslims BIG – the premier Business Event for Pakistan.

I would be one of the receptionist during the Muslims BIG Expo at Karachi Expo Center from February 10th to February 12th. I hope Metblogs will cover it from different angles.
