Our city is getting a new gift and it is far better then a fountain, its a whole new adventure park called “GoAish”.

Being built within Safari park this new attraction is scheduled to be opened for public on the 18th of this month. Being the first of it’s kind the adventure park will offer physical activities at highly considerable rates.

The activities being offered by GoAish include Paint balling, wall climbing, a high roab course, and a AVT Ride. A 30 feet wall is being built for the wall climbing activity and a 40 feet high wooden structure has been designed for high rope course while almost 1000 meter long special track has been constructed to provide ATV riders a high class thrilling ride on branded ATVs.

The Adventure Park will surely be a great addition to our city.

quite glad to see some different kinda hangout springing up apart from that usual “EATING FOOD”…..but its sad to see that the city government is going around inaugurating parks and splashing loads of money on beautification ..whereas the basic needs of “security”..is much more desired……then theres proper drinking water….health needs….???

Thanks for the update Jamash. Looks good.. Looking forward to using it.

A lot here might oppose me, but I think the rates shouldn’t be nominal IF the quality of service is high. They should keep it expensive, so that they can easily maintain it. And it is not over-used. As for the question of making it affordable for the poor, I know people who save all month just to enjoy a cup of ice cream.. so if people value this, they will save and come and still have an excellent experience, other than a lot of people doing it and destroying it sooner than its life expectancy..

I would like to congratulate the Management of GoAish Project and hope it will be a breakthrough.

It will not only provide a healthy aciviy but also will be able to lessen the terrorism activities.

yay i am excited not.i pity the people who are getting excited for long. nothing lasts forever and i am pretty sure this park is gonna suck big time. Hmmm i remember the cruise ship buzz and i remember talking about how much it would suck. i was right and i am pretty sure that mismanagement and other issues will screw everything. good luck to all of those optimists who think this will work.

  8. shobz (unregistered) on February 8th, 2007 @ 4:10 am

ps. the name of the park sucks as well. “go aish” huh. what is this park for? uncouth people…

I think if the authority really wants to do something for the public and want to spend some money on it, they should bring up something at world class level, if not equal then atleast close to it.

I mean like the kind of thrill rides we have at wonderland in Canada and sixflags in US.

Otherwise it would be useless as not too many ppl go to funland now and the kind of rides Alladin park and others have are not too much attractive for the teenager.

a new revolving resturant openned this week…its bright and colorful lights are visible from the parrosan’s roof-top…..kya baat hai KMB to pata nahein challa….hain.?

  11. Neena (unregistered) on February 8th, 2007 @ 9:04 am

Since it’s an adventure park so safety should be their top most priority and it costs money, so one had to tolerate high entrance fee. But if lot people are interested in this park than fee could be lowered without compromising the service and quality.

I got some information from GoAish Park according to which they are charging around 300 Rs and 200 Rs per facility. The spokesperson of GoAish Park had no more information then that cause rates are not finalized yet.

  21. Jamash (unregistered) on February 9th, 2007 @ 12:57 am

@ Raja Islam: When I called them they told me the charges were ranging from 100 to 200, they also said that the figures are not final but they will keep it affordable.

@ Uzi : I do Agree, they could have come up with a better name.

  22. ansari (unregistered) on February 9th, 2007 @ 1:13 am

“Go Aish” is a private investment and not a City Government project. The Go Aish has been constructed by a Czech Republic Company to guarantee European safety standards mainly its High Ropes Courses. The Czech Company was contracted out to construct the GoAish right from the start and the Czech Company took its own technical and manual staff to Karachi to construct the Park. The land is acquired in an open tender from the CDGK. Its standard would be maintained, hopefully, because its investor is a Pakistani origin British Banker.

attention everyone! there is some pathetic loser out here who actually went ahead and left a comment on my behalf without my authorization.
This is not my comment. I am not stupid enough to make such a comment.”I TAKE BACK WHAT I SAID ABOUT “GOAISH” IT WILL BE A VERY GOOD INVESTMENT AND IT WILL BE SO FAMOUS AND IT WILL BE THE MOST POPULAR PARK IN PAKISTAN”

How lame can one be by pretending to be me? Why don’t you have the balls to challenge me instead of posing as me? I still believe the park is a failure and a waste of money.

Innaugration ceremony of Go Aish is taking place on Saturday, 24 February 2007. I wish all the success and best of luck to all Karachites and the Management of Go Aish for availing and introducing such an exciting entertainment in Karachi. The management should extend the entertainment to Punjab and elsewhere in Pakistan.
